TOBALD Music Makers

>Fully into music since his childhood , Tobald was going to primary school with Rob Hubbard and Martin Galway tapes. Often colliding with his young class mates he decided to flee when his teacher asked him to sing "Lorsque l'On Aura Vingt Ans" from Pierre Bachelet.
He became a Shaolin Trappist Monk in a dark Belgian monastery. We don’t know much about this period , except that he drew the scheme of a revolutionary synthetizer that he gave to a man called Robert Moog in exchange for the Playboy limited edition "Sex Between Sisters".

In 1987 he goes to England where he met two young English students : Richard D.J. and Tom Jenkinson. He gave them piano and bass lessons.
Encouraged by his friend Raël, he came back to the foggy forests of the Ardennes, sampling and looping tirelessly rût of stag and boar squeals with his good old FAst Tracker 2. Today, tobald is interested in building is own tools to create a music that reconciliates groove and experimentations. He also participates to collaborative works with others musicians around the net under the "Riz au lait" nickname.
